Your School Can Become a Quantum Learning Model School

Quantum Learning (QL) is an integrated school model designed to initiate change, enhance teacher capacity, and increase student achievement and overall success in school and in life.


What is a Quantum Learning Model School?

A Quantum Learning School in one that embraces Quantum Learning (QL) methodology school wide?from leadership and administration, to a significant majority of the teachers (if not 100%), and the student body. Its a school that has made a commitment to continuous growth through ongoing learning and reinforcement of the methodology.


Components

QL builds an engaging and dynamic schoolwide community of learning.

QL focuses on leadership, research-based teaching methods, learning-to-learn and life skills and school improvement through consistent implementation and evaluation.

QL for Administrators (QLA) includes skills as a School Leader and Instructional Leader. (Programs are scheduled for multiple principals in an area.)

QL for Teachers (QLT) includes initial 40 hours of training in effective delivery of school curriculum followed by implementation/reinforcement sessions, lesson design workshops, facilitated collaborations and classroom coaching.

QL trains teachers in effective presentation and facilitation of any content that supports classroom management.

QL for Students (QLS) trains students in learning-to-learn and life skills that lead students to take responsibility for their learning, and for their lives. Programs can focus on specific content such as math, science, reading or character education.

QL Implementation and Reinforcement Training (QLIR) goes more in-depth into implementation of specific content that is taught in the school. Recommended to be held every year.

QL Classroom Coaching (QLCC) includes classroom observation and coaching by a senior QL instructor and coach.

QL Parents Workshop (QLPW) teaches parents important tools and methods for supporting their students in continuing learning at home. Reinforces QLT methods being used in the classroom and QLS methods that students have learned in their own workshops.


School Recognition

Quantum Learning Model Schools are recognized in the QL Club News, on the QLN Website, in a press release to the local newspaper, and each school is given a banner to display in the school lobby.

Schools can apply through their Quantum Learning Regional Manager.


Recognition of Teachers

Quantum Learning is also recognizing teachers who consistently model QL teaching practices, engaging students in ways that create optimal learning states, and using QL methods that they have learned in their trainings.

Teachers are recognized through an elegant framed certificate of recognition for being a Quantum Learning Model Teacher, and receive a copy of Quantum Teaching: Orchestrating Student Success. They are also recognized on the QLN website and in a press release sent from Quantum Learning to the local newspaper.

This recognition is generally given toward the end of each school year.

Teachers are recommended by their school administrator(s) based on QL criteria, and a Quantum Learning instructor or team member may visit the school and classrooms during the school year.
