Jenny Severson, Ed.D., loves to learn and bring out the leader in YOU. She brings a unique perspective to her work through her vast experiences in hundreds of schools in 47 states and a dozen countries across the globe. Named “Educator of the Year” her first year as an teacher, Jenny is dedicated to continuous learning as an educator, administrator, and international speaker. Jenny recognizes the important role instructional leadership plays in a school having been a principal for 5 years. She also is completely committed to serving students and teachers in the “trenches” so that they can build strengths and capacity for growth. A frequent speaker at state and national conferences, Jenny has two favorite keynote addresses: “The Inside out model: Leading from within” and “Your Vibe attracts your Tribe: how those you surround yourself with impact your life” Jenny's strengths are: learner, intellect, input, harmony and discipline, she's an avid fan of the strength finder 2.0 work.
Jenny has an impressive track record of working towards positive change in diverse communities from wealthy to impoverished communities around the world. From Kansas to China, Jenny has experience most educators are grateful to tap into and partner.
Jenny holds a Master’s in Educational Administration and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from Loyola University in Chicago.
She lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with her awesome husband and three young children.
Shari Murphy is an Educational Consultant and Senior Facilitator for Quantum Learning Education who is passionate about empowering people to discover and unleash their potential. Shari started sharing this passion with 4th and 5th graders in Illinois as a classroom teacher for over a decade. She planned to leave the classroom after her first year of teaching due to feeling ineffective. She was inspired to learn how crucial it is to be the best version of herself as an adult and educator to influence our youth. She attributes her decision to stay and thrive in the classroom to the methodology of Quantum Learning. Shari is fueled by the educators and students she works with and strives to create that same shift in them. Her vulnerability and ability to ”keep it real“ has earned her accolades with hundreds of education audiences across the U.S. Shari has influenced educators across the country as a keynote speaker and facilitator of professional development programs for teachers, administrators, and parents. She has presented at many state and national education conferences including the National Students At-Risk conference, the National Staff Development Council conference, the Tennessee Principals Association annual conference, and the NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity- Building Workshop.
Shari has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Governors State University. Shari resides in Darien, Illinois where she and her husband thrive on being an active part in the lives of their 3 children.
Cami Eiskamp is a Quantum Learner lead facilitator, trainer and coach since 2001, and dedicates her career to some of Quantum Learning’s highest level work. She designs customized Quantum Learning programs, writes curriculum and coaches superintendents, administrators and teachers in their own classrooms and schools, one-on-one. Cami keynotes at state and national conferences and is a valued member of the Quantum Learning curriculum development team. Cami specializes in training administrators, teachers and parents nationwide in more than 30 states and internationally in over 10 countries. A true expert in best educational practices, instructional leadership, classroom management, and presentation/facilitation skills, this dynamic speaker is sure to motivate and inspire all audiences.
The majority of Cami’s classroom instruction experience is in secondary education teaching foreign language, English, ESL and leadership in the California public school system since 1999. She also has enjoyed a variety of positions from lower elementary-level instruction in private school to teaching Masters Education courses at the University level. Cami attributes Quantum Learning’s methodologies and best practices (including brain-based research) to her students’ academic and personal success. Her foreign language students ranked in the top 2% on California’s standardized Golden State exams. Administrators, teachers, and students honored Cami with the “Crystal Apple” for 2001-2002 at her high school. Cami holds a CLAD teaching credential, two B. A. degrees in Spanish and Speech Communication, and her M.A. in Education (Curriculum and Instruction).
Cami is passionate about students and helping them to aspire higher as human beings. Similarly, Cami’s enthusiasm for education is obvious as she engages her audiences with her energetic style and applicable strategies.
Ted Murcray is a passionate speaker and facilitator who is focused on improving the quality of education experiences for adults and children.
Ted has taught at all tiers — elementary, middle, high — and at the university level. He has served as a teacher and school administrator. He is currently a professor of education, where he teaches in the administrator and teacher preparation programs. All of those experiences have been shaped by his use of the Quantum Learning system — a cohesive set of principles and structures based on the way the brain works. He loves to share his successes and failures with administrators, teachers, and students, so all can benefit from those learning opportunities and thrive in the educational environment.
Ted has spoken at dozens of national conferences, such as the National Association of Elementary School Principals Leadership Summit, Tennessee Principal’s Association, Mississippi Association of School Superintendents — as well as presenting at schools across the United States and overseas.
Ted lives in Southern California, close to the water and Disneyland. He and his wife have six children and a grandson, all of whom bring light and laughter to his life on a daily basis.
Chase Mielke is a learning junkie who happens to have a love affair with teaching. A book addict by night and a teacher and instructional coach by day, he fantasizes about old libraries and fresh Expo Markers. He has bachelor's degree in English Education and a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction.
For the past six years, Chase has developed and run a Positive Psychology. program for emotionally, behaviorally, and academically at-risk high schoolers. Applying mastery level Quantum Learning techniques, the program consistently helps students increase grade point averages and passed classes, optimism, and grit, and helps students develop character, learning, and life skills.
In addition to teaching full-time, Chase is an accomplished speaker, educational trainer, and writer. He has travelled across the United States and world to work with educators and students. His writings on education and psychology are frequently featured on HuffingtonPost, Edutopia, WeAreTeachers, and Cult of Pedagogy. His essay and video “What Students Really Need to Hear” has been read and seen by over 5 million people across the world.
The pride of his professional accomplishments, though, are trumped by his love for his family: His wife Ashlee, his son Maddox, and their fur-baby Penny. Chase is a native of Michigan and currently lives in Kalamazoo.

John Carter has been a classroom teacher for twenty years and currently teaches fifth grade in Maine. Along with teaching in Maine, John has taught in the Washington D.C area, Western Australia, and Colorado. John has a Master’s Degree in Brain Based Teaching and School Counseling. Since 2005, John has worked with the Quantum Learning Network facilitating both student and teacher programs. John’s focuses his presentation on skills and lessons that are can be implemented into any classroom. As a classroom teacher, John strives every day to create a classroom culture where students feel safe and supported. John uses the 8 keys of excellence as the foundation of his classroom. When not in school, John can be found boating, fishing, camping, and generally enjoying life with his wife and two young kids.
Christian has experience as both a teacher and administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, and he currently works as an instructional specialist in Cypress, TX. He has worked with small classes in rural settings and large classes in urban settings. No matter the setting, learners enjoy his energy and passion for them and their learning.
Christian has also worked a variety of positions with Quantum Learning Network. Quantum Learning’s emphasis on brain-friendly, research-based leading, teaching, and learning has been the hallmark of Christian’s style in the classroom and the training room for over fifteen years. These trainings have brought him to hundreds of students, parents, and teachers all over the United States and abroad. These diverse experiences have equipped Christian with the tools to effectively lead and train all types of learners, educators, and school leaders.
Christian graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s in Education. He completed his Master’s in Education Leadership at the nationally recognized Leadership Preparation Program at Brigham Young University and his Master’s in Human Resource Management at Texas A&M University. He is married and the proud father of four active tweenagers.
Ming Shelby is a National Board Certified educator with unlimited capacity to engage and inspire students, teachers, and administrators alike. Currently, Ming holds the position as Quantum Learning Instructional Coach in the Schaumburg School district, one of Quantum Learning’s Site Licensed School Districts. In this capacity, Ming spends her time organizing and staffing programs among 28 buildings, writing curriculum, coaching fellow educators and administrators, and facilitating programs for both students and staff. This is only the most recent position she’s held in her years as a Quantum Learning representative. After being inspired by attending multiple Quantum Learning for Teachers trainings, Ming became a Quantum Learning SuperCamp facilitator in 2010 and since then has worked stateside and internationally for both student and teacher programs. Ming's six years of experience teaching Kindergarten/First grade multi-age, has helped develop her unique ability to approach situations with a wealth of knowledge and experience that apply to all areas of education and students.
Ming received her Bachelor degree in Education and Masters in Educational Psychology specializing in Curriculum, Technology, and Educational Reform from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also has her Ed.S in Administration and supervision along with her English as a Second Language endorsement. When she’s not attending trainings such as Shawn Achor's Happiness Advantage or reading up on the latest brain research, she spends her time with her twin boys and husband in St. Charles, IL.
Ellie Terrell has been in education for eighteen years working with both elementary and secondary school students and teachers nationwide and has served in numerous leadership capacities in her schools. Ellie enjoys a variety of opportunities with Quantum Learning including teaching all content modules, Implementation Days, Coaching and Observation Days, Make It/Take It Days, Topic Specific Days, Keynote speeches and as a Curriculum writer. Ellie has worked with many school districts in new teacher orientation, classroom management and research-based, instructional best practices as a part of her work with Quantum Learning. She has presented to teachers and school leaders at numerous education conferences and is a popular speaker year after year. She brings energy, humor and practical Quantum Learning teaching methods to her programs and models what she teaches so that program participants experience the QL for themselves.
Ellie works for Quantum Learning because she has a passion for education. It's in her blood! She feels she can make the most significant impact on our culture by providing schools with tools to make the school day irresistible to students as well as their teachers.
