Speakers

John Letellier John Parks LeTellier

John LeTellier is an international trainer and educational consultant. He has been involved in Quantum Learning Network programs as a curriculum developer and facilitator for over 20 years, having trained teachers and administrators in over 250 schools. John has led Quantum Learning workshops around the world for students, educators and senior corporate executives.

As founder of the Colorado NeuroLearning Center, John is a pioneer in the art of applying learning styles and modalities to individual learning systems. He is also the author of the program: Dedicated to Excellence.
John has 30 years experience researching motivational psychology and neurology. He has been a teacher, a counselor and a high school headmaster. John is currently a lead facilitator and curriculum developer for QLN's QL Education division.

John's latest book, Quantum Learning & Instructional Leadership in Practice, was published in late 2006 by Corwin Press.



Jenny Severson, Ed.D.

Dr. Jenny Severson has worked with young students to college professors, teens to adult learners. As a full time Quantum Learning Facilitator, Jenny has presented worldwide to professional educators and educational audiences. Jenny has worked in a wide range of capacities with Quantum Learning programs over the last 14 years. She is passionate about the learning process and works extensively on research and curriculum development for Quantum Learning. Jenny has designed programs in Quantum Learning based on effectiveness, matching needs and creating results. Participants enjoy her upbeat energy and how she authentically communicates and makes learning meaningful.
Jenny Severson
Dr. Severson has experience as both a teacher and a school administrator, and has designed programs specifically for the induction of new teachers into the field of education. With demonstrated success as a teacher, school administrator and trainer, she has earned the unique opportunity to be a Lead Facilitator for Quantum Learning and SuperCamp programs in the U.S., Ukraine, Thailand and throughout Asia.

Jenny completed her B.A. at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL, her M.S.Ed. in Educational Leadership at Northern Illinois University and her doctoral work at Loyola University in Chicago.



Cami Hayes

Cami Hayes is a San Diego, CA. native in her fourth year as a high school Spanish teacher, and she also taught one year of middle school foreign language. She holds a CLAD teaching credential and two bachelors degrees in Spanish and in Speech and Communication. She was voted by, both staff and students as The Sophomore Teacher of the Year for 2001-2002. As a Volleyball coach, the junior class advisor, recycling club advisor, she is involved in a variety of school activities. She has worked in education for 11 years in a variety of positions from a teacher's assistant at the elementary school level to teaching and tutoring at the community college level.
Cami Hayes
Now a Lead Facilitator, Cami has been worked and trained in SuperCamp forums such as Stanford University, Wake Forest University, University of Wisconsin, and the first ever Supercamp Bermuda. She has facilitated SAT and ACT preparation, Memory techniques, Quantum Reading, Quantum Strategies, State management, 8 intelligences and a variety of learning and life skills. She also facilitates Quantum Learning for Students programs and Quantum Learning for Teachers workshops specializing in senior and junior high schools.

Cami has received educational training from Michael Grinder (two and three-point communication, neuro linguistic programming and other advanced communication techniques), Mark Reardon (the execution of successful teacher moves) and John LeTellier (Quantum Learning for Teachers Workshops, levels 1-5) and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in curriculum and development.



Aileen Socrates Aileen Socrates

A native of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Aileen Socrates lists the South, the Midwest, California, Europe, and Asia among her many "homes" of the past ten years. Aileen earned a Spanish minor and double major in Communication and Theater at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During her college tenure, she founded S.O.U.L. ("Sisterhood of Universal Love", a women's alliance that promotes diversity and community service through the performing arts. Among Aileen's most beloved college experiences was a year in Europe, during which she studied Spanish at the University of Salamanca in Spain and was awarded a grant to research social justice in Italy, Austria, and Lichtenstein.
Upon graduating from Wake Forest, Aileen was offered the Carswell Scholarship, a full scholarship to study law at her undergraduate school. Instead, she opted to pursue a tuition-free Masters of Education and Social Policy at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. During and after the completion of her graduate studies, Aileen was a high school teacher, student council moderator, and dance team coach in inner-city Los Angeles. In 2005, she became an instructor and head teacher trainer at the Malibu Actors Studio, an after-school K-12 performing arts academy founded by Mark Burnett, the producer/director of TV's "Survivor" and "The Apprentice."

This past summer, Aileen served as head teacher and curriculum consultant for a bilingual ESL video series filmed by Laguna Productions. Most recently, she has been serving schools across the nation as a teacher trainer in accelerated learning and brain-based instructional methods. Beginning in 1997, Aileen's adventures with the Quantum Learning Network have brought her as close as San Diego and as far as Hawaii and Malaysia. She thanks her younger brother Ryan, a Supercamp graduate, for introducing her to the QLN family.



Amy Smith

Amy Smith has been working with teachers, students and parents as a facilitator and trainer for Quantum Learning Network for four years. She has trained teachers in QLT program and workshops all across the United States and has worked with parents and students both in the U.S. and abroad, in such countries as Indonesia, Bermuda, Hong Kong and Korea.

Prior to joining QLN, Amy was an elementary school classroom teacher, where she served as the grade level chair, as well. In her first year of teaching, Amy was nominated for Teacher of the Year. She is passionate about working with learners of all ages. Amy obtained her Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas.

Bobbi Deporter Bobbi DePorter

Bobbi DePorter is President of Quantum Learning Network, which offers training and workshops to teachers, school administrators and students throughout the U.S. and in 80 countries worldwide. Ms. DePorter is a heart-felt speaker who shares insights on topics ranging from the secrets to discovering one's inner vision to strategies for strengthening the skills, confidence and motivation in today's youth.

DePorter was an early pioneer in the applications of accelerated learning, which she first applied in her highly successful business school. Ms. DePorter then had the vision to help children realize their potential by teaching these same learning techniques to them. This inspiration led to the launch of SuperCamp learning and life skills summer programs in 1982.

Twenty-six years later, DePorter has impacted more than two million kids worldwide through SuperCamp and her company's Quantum Learning programs for teachers, students and school administrators. These achievements have not gone unnoticed. The Wall Street Journal reports that SuperCamp "turns so-so students into academic achievers." USA TODAY states that, "Schools take a cue from SuperCamp successes."

In discovering her vision, Ms. DePorter identified eight key catalysts that she used to integrate her vision into all facets of her life. Ms. DePorter shares her enriching experience and the - Keys of Excellence - with her academic audiences as a source of inspiration, enlightenment and teacher motivation.

Ms. DePorter has presented to groups of all sizes around the world, ranging from corporate seminars to international symposiums and an audience of thousands at the Global Education Summit in Argentina. She has been involved in many industry organizations, including serving as president of the International Alliance for Learning. She is a 2006 Readers Choice winner for Fast Company magazine's "Fast 50" list of leading creative thinkers.
